About Breanne

Breanne Rourke is a professional voice/piano teacher located in St. Catharines, ON. She is an accomplished singer/songwriter, and has a passion of cross-training in different musical genres including pop, classical, opera, jazz, and broadway. She obtained her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance (Honours) from Western University in 2010. Breanne is an RCM Certified teacher, and is also a member of SECO (Speak Easy Co-Operative for Independent Voice Teachers), and NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing). With over 10 years of teaching experience under her belt, Breanne's students have been accepted to University and College music programs throughout Ontario, have completed RCM exams with Honours, and have been featured on popular TV shows such as 'The Next Star', and 'Canada's Got Talent'. She also teaches and coaches pro-singers worldwide online who are ready to up-level their vocal abilities!

An avid performer, Breanne has loved gigging, and has been performing for 20 years. She has been a featured performer at the Bitter End, a popular music venue located in Greenwich Village in NYC, as well as venues throughout Southern Ontario. In 2015 she was accepted to the Halifax Summer Opera Festival to perform the role of Spirit II in Massenetʼs Cendrillon. Her most recent broadway role was Ronette in Something Something Productions ‘Little Shop of Horrorsʼ in September 2016, and again in September 2018. She was also a featured soprano soloist with Lyric Niagara throughout their 2015-16 season.

Not only does Breanne love teaching and performing, she also has a passion for conducting. She was the Music Director of Wesley United Church in Welland from 2013-2021, and is currently the Worship + Music Director at St. Andrews United Church in Niagara Falls.

She currently resides in north-end St. Catharines with her loving husband Kelvin and 2 kiddos, Elijah and Eleanor. When she's not teaching or singing her face off, you can find Breanne reading a fast-paced psychological thriller while sipping a glass of full-bodied red wine, or engaging in some cardio or strength training - not necessarily in that order.

Madey is currently enrolled in her first year at Brock University in the Concurrent Education program, majoring in music. She has studied voice professionally for over 10 years with Breanne Rourke as her teacher and mentor. She is SO excited to join the studio and teach kiddos!

In March 2021, Madey completed her Level 8 Voice certificate with the Royal Conservatory of Music with an outstanding mark of 90%, and was awarded First Class Honours with Distinction. Her bubbly and fun personality charms everyone around her, and she is passionate about young music education.

Madey lives in her hometown of St. Catharines with her family: Mom, Dad, and two sisters (one of whom is a TWIN...no, they can’t read each other’s minds), three cats, and their mini-Aussie named Winnie. In addition to her vocal and teaching skills, she is adept at the cello and piano. When she’s not making music, you can find her knitting or playing video games.
